I've come to this one very late, but am happy to have arrived. A lovely poem, Rod. I love both apples and dandelions; they remind me of carefree days of youth. To pluck an apple and walk along enjoying spring, pick a dandelion and hold it under a friend's chin to see the reflective yellow glow. I was glad they were never weeds to me, but a tasty addition to a salad.
Dandelions are my favorite weeds. Originally from Kansas, I miss them, as I cannot get them to grow down here in sandy Florida. Your poem brightened my morning. I should check in more often. Thank you. 🧡
On the brink of rainy season down here...all hail spring
The weather has been unpredictable. I’m ready for some sunshine and shorts. Thanks for sharing this!
I hope you get your wish ;)
The "dandelion empire" tickled me today. Thanks Rod!
