I remember Dust in the Wind as a kid. I never heats the Wall. I have walls around myself that are almost impossible to knock down. Walls are invisible sometimes. I wonder how many people around us have walls around them
This is a gorgeous song. I had no idea who was singing it. I love their Dust in the Wind. It's just too melancholy. This sounds like a power track. Walls are symbols for so many things that you describe here. How many walls are internal? How many can be broken down by having the right mindset? Thank you for this great journey you took me on with this one. Lots to think of.
This post really was one I needed to read today! Oh, the external issues can be walls, yes, but the far more difficult walls to get over, around or through, are the internal ones. At least, I find that to be true for myself. We build our own towering walls. Sometimes we think it's a fortress of protection, but if we really examine it, it is more destructive than protective. Whew. What a process to dismantle, and how often we fear what will be on the other side of our deconstructing. Thank you for your reflection. You have given a lot to think about, and have given reminder to me, to get on with the removal.....brick by brick. Oh, and thank you for the Kansas song, I had never heard this one.
I've started doing a daily affirmation when I wake up, and one of them is "i remove all blocks and obstacles to receiving money."
focusing on breaking down our walls is so important
Affirmations are great, Elizabeth. I like that one!
Great Post Rod! An intereting synchronicity that both of our posts today were about breaking through barriers and walls.
"Wracks my body in ceaseless spasms
a wall of hurt, a widening chasm."
Thanks, Aaron! I’ve seen this happen before. It almost as if topics are suspended around us.
Undoubtedly
Thank you, Rod. The first step is introspection. I can’t just say -
that’s the way I am. Also important is to realize that others are in the same position. Lots to contemplate here.
Thank you, Monica!
The battle against the wall is internal. Wow. So true.
Thanks, Holly!
Rod, I love your message here! It's brilliant!
Thanks so much for this, C.J. I appreciate the restack, too!
You’re welcome

I’ll bet a vast majority of people have some type of wall. It’s not something that’s easy to see or resolve.
So true! Most of us do in some area. Good point

Thanks, Pilgrim. I wish I had all the answers. This song has been on my mind for decades. Thanks for sharing the post!
